February Week 4
Hey everyone!
Arizona is well... still here. Despite my obsessive want to watch it just burn up.... I'm just kidding!!! This week has been interesting... in more than one way... so first off, I want to share with you something that I learned in Numbers. As I was reading chapter 10, I noticed that even then they had alarms.... well I guess alarm clocks aren't so bad. My destructive bone was a little achy for something to watch go boom or just poof, gone... I really wanted to take a bat to our alarm clock the other day cause I was tired of getting up at 6:30 every blasted morning. Well I guess that won't happen. I've been really wanting to burn something. Maybe I just will. I have yet to burn a shirt so that should do it. I really just need a good service project.... That should really let me take some anger out on something.
So... thought for this week: Why do we do missionary work? Not just us missionaries but as members. We are asked to do missionary work everyday. So, WHY? Don't forget that there is great power in doing what our Heavenly Father asks of us. We can see his hand in our lives everyday if we so wish it to be. All we must do is have a desire and then let that work in us until we come to a faith or a knowledge. Either one will do when it comes to the gospel. They may not be the same thing but they are both good. I hope that all is well!!
Have an excellent week!

February Week 3
Hey everyone!!!
All is well here in Safford. There isn't much that has been going on, but we did have a baptism on Saturday for a nine year old girl. She is super sweet. We really didn't do much more than just teach her the lessons. It was fun to just get the chance to teach her the gospel. The last couple of weeks have been really slow as far as missionary work goes. We picked up a new investigator on Saturday as well. We had gone to dinner and were riding our bikes home when a man stopped us and asked if we were the missionaries. Of course we said yes. We took a moment and found out where he lives and his name and things like that. It was really cool to just be out and about and find someone. I was thinking about some of the crazy things that have happened to find people to teach. Things like doing crossfit, yoga, shopping, emailing, and everything else that goes on in your average day. Its interesting to see the people who want to learn the gospel versus those who just hear it and move on their way. There is something about the sparkle in their eyes that makes it all worth it. My companion and I were talking about how long its been since we went really tracting and my companion pointed out that he has never been tracting. I thought about it and its been 8 months or better since I went tracting. That tells me that its still possible to find and teach people the gospel even without knocking doors.
Remember to share the gospel with someone you know and love. Be courageous. That is how we get over the fear of doing something. There is always someone who you can talk to. Have an excellent week and don't forget who loves you!!!

February Week 2
Hey everyone!
I apologize for not sending a letter last week, things got busy and things got off track and I just didn't get it done. Things here in the Gila Valley are good. I'm finally over a year on the mission so woohoo... a year left. Its nice to know that I don't have more than a year left. I feel like this has all come to a point where I feel like I know what I'm finally doing and I am getting to the point where I can make the work accelerate as Heavenly Father wants it. I will admit... don't look forward to a longer weekly letter. I suck at summarizing what is going on. There really isn't anything big that happens each day... well not to me. Its kind of like normal life. When something big happens, its normal to those of us who are there all the time. Its a whole other story when it comes to those of us who know nothing about what is happening. If you want to know, its normal missionary work happening. The best way to know what I am doing is to go out there and invite your less active and non member friends to come to church, to listen to the missionaries, or read the Book of Mormon. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing someone grow in the spirit and grow closer to their Heavenly Father. When someone uses their agency to come closer to Him, then we really see the beauty of the things in life that we want to see everyday.
This week has really opened my eyes to some things and have continued to enlighten me in other things. I know that this is the true church of God. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Christ and that He lives. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that His Spirit lives in each of us as we follow the teachings not only of the prophets but, of the scriptures as well, we will find a greater love for each of our Fathers children and we will want for them what we have as members of the church. Thank you for each of your support. You have been to kind to me and to those around me. I love you all tons.
