December Week 3
Hey everyone!
Well I'm now here in The Ghila Valley. Things have been crazy here in the area. I'm really beginning to enjoy the area. There is a lot of work for us to do which is nice. Its a big change from the last area. Its nice to really have someone here to really teach. I'm on a bike now and I'm so happy. I love being in a bike area. Its so awesome. For some reason, as long as you have really ridden around it really doesn't matter sometimes if there has been any work cause you are still so tired at the end of the day that you feel content. Thank you bicycle for the work out!
So I was thinking about what to write to you all about this week and nothing was coming to mind until Sunday. When Sunday came along, I was sitting in sacrament meeting and suddenly we received a text from the bishopric.... of all people... the bishopric.... Anyway, They asked me to share my testimony and introduce myself because we had some time left over. That kind of thing will really make your heart race. Its so much... fun?....
well beyond that... Have an awesome week!!!!!!!!!
Love you all!!!!

December Week 2
Hey everyone!
Things here are good. I did get transfered. Things are really going well. Things here are slow but I think with a change in area and a change in companions, things will be really good. I hear that there has been a lot of snow in the recent days and weeks! Heavenly Father thinks of us. I remember all those years of fasting for rain and all the years of things like that. This may be your payout. God blesses us the most when we need it the most. We may not realize it now but it's true. Its good to be in an area where there are more members. I really haven't met anyone yet but you will be suprised to know who all is in my district.
My new companion's name is Elder Huff. I really don't know much about him yet but I do know that he is quite the person. He's much like my first companion so far. Quiet but knows what he's doing. Very aware of the things around him and not a lick of shallow to him. Also in my district is Elder Field. Yes the very same Elder Field who I grew up with and know and love so much.
Well. I know that this is a short letter but, there isn't much time this week. I love you all! Have an amazing week!!!

December Week 1
Hey everyone!!
Things are have gone really well this week. Its been nice to just hang back a little with Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was awesome. We had a turkey bowl and played a little soccer. We ate one dinner and that was it. Life is really good for now. Its getting closer to transfers and I have no idea what is going to happen although I will say that I've really enjoyed the ward here. It will be nice to move and go to another ward but it would be really great to stay through Christmas too.
Speaking of Christmas, I was thinking about Christ and his example to us. This Thanksgiving it was brought to my attention the history of Thanksgiving. I was interested to learn that the first Thanksgiving previous to the meal we all know that happened, they took a day of fasting and prayer. So, after learning that, I took the chance to do just that.
Fasting and prayer can teach so much and there is nothing more fulfilling than fasting and receiving an answer to something you've been praying about for some time. Think about all of the things that Christ has given to you and blessed you with. Then give thanks to your Heavenly Father for all that He and His Son have given you. I challenge you to do and see what happens. When you are done, report to HIM!
Love you all!!

November Week 4
Hey everyone!!
So this week has been interesting. We had a stake conference which was pretty good. I am pretty happy with what they spoke about. This is the first stake conference that has been dictated to us through the 12 as to what to speak on and train on specifically. Its missionary work. ARE YOU INVITING? I know that there is a lot to it but I really do want you to remember, when we invite, we succeed. That is all that it takes. Returned Missionaries, do you want to feel that spirit again? The way to do it is to invite others. That is what it takes.
Well, I wish I could tell you more about the stake conference but I really don't know what to tell you.
I'm doing really well. The people here are amazing and they are so much fun to work with. I hope you all are doing well! keep up the good work and please, KEEP THE FAITH!!!
Love you all!!

November Week 3
Hey everyone!!!!
The week was ok. There was one thing that really made this week great. Well ok, two things... so here they are. During the week I was doing some studies and I was reading in Jacob about the 4 visits to Lords vineyard, and I came across some interesting things that happen in the vineyard. In the first three visits the Lord goes into the vineyard and he sees his olive trees. The mother tree or main tree talked about is withering and dying, then because of his love and concern for the tree, it comes back to life and bears good fruit. There are several other things that happen but I want you to go and read about what happens. Here's the interesting thing. Look where the Lord puts the grafts. The kind of soil that He plants them in He specifically talks about. Look at what is said. Why does the Lord of the Vineyard plant them in those types of soil? What do we learn from all of this? How can we apply this to our lives?
Ok so the other thing that happened this week was on Saturday. The elders quorum went shooting this weekend and I have some amazing pictures of what they were shooting. As missionaries we couldn't shoot but I took pictures of the firearms and boy are they awesome. I wanted so badly to shoot a couple of the fire arms but I thought you may enjoy the pictures. They will probably be posted closer to Christmas because I am sending them home. There were some seriously FUN guns there. It was nice to be able to see a quorum come together and really have a good time and bring some non and less active members to this. There was a couple of members that actually came to church on Sunday too.
Remember that the Lord loves you and needs your help. Please invite your friends to activities and keep up with home and visiting teaching. Those things are so important.
Love you all and have a great week!!!

November Week 2
Oh what a week.... Well where to begin.... Monday last week we went to a cave for P-day... got some good pictures there, Tuesday was interesting... Some missionaries from another ward sent us to go and meet a less active family, so we did. They were super receptive about everything which was awesome. We didn't get to stay long but it was nice to be able to just talk for a bit and see what all we could do to help them. Wednesday was filled with almost nothing but service, which I absolutely loved. We also spent Friday doing the same thing. It was nice to finally get my hands dirty again and be able to see the interior of an engine. Thursday was mostly just a day of trying to see people and find someone to teach. Now... Saturday was awesome. We spent most of the morning trying to create lessons out of our ward mission plan here in the Hereford ward. It was really fun. We found a lot of scriptures that went along with what the ward wanted to see happen through their mission plan.
This week there was a lot that happened. I want to point out however that during my studies I saw how much it takes to depend on the lord. We need to depend on Him in all things of great and of small importance. When we make decisions that can strengthen us or guide us spiritually, we need Him on our side. When we make decisions that pertain to our salvation. We need Him. Don't forget that we have the promise that if we take the time each and every day to pray and let our Heavenly Father know what we are going to do and what we want to accomplish that day, He will help us and we will soar far beyond what we thought we could.
Have an amazing week and don't forget GOD LOVES YOU!!!!

November Week 1
Hey Everyone!!!
Well its been an excellent week. Not a whole lot happened but its been good. I had the new experience of a holiday away from home... That was interesting. There really isn't much that happens when you are told that you have to be in your apartment by 6:00pm.... it really can drag on a good night. Although I must say.... I did get a lot of sleep that night. It was great. As always there is something going on but I thought I might introduce you to edification this week. Take some time and think about it. There is much to be said about what edifying is and what can be accomplished by and through it. I know that I didn't expound on it much but I want you to go and see what its all about. We edify every day if we have the spirit with us in what we do and say.... now, think about that and see what you come up with.
I love you all!
